Candle Making Class

Join me for a fun candle making class! You'll have a great time in the Taproom while creating your own candles. I have 25 spots available so please stop by the taproom to sign up. The cost is $20 per candle made, and you get to choose your scent and how many you'd like to make. The Holidays are right around the corner, and these would make lovely handmade gifts!

Join Miss Xanthi at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire for this interactive weekly program for children ages 2–4. Designed as a PRE pre-school program for children and a parent or caregiver, we will enjoy art, music, movement, and conceptual learning together! This program is limited to 10 children, and caregivers or adults are welcome to sign up multiple children within their family. Pre-reservation/payment is required and does not include museum admission. Reservations to stay and play in museum exhibits must be made separately. Whiskey and War Stories

Canoe Restaurant & Tavern in Center Harbor is honored to present an evening of great food and Bourbon Whiskey Crafted by US Army Green Berets who answered Americas call just days after 9/11 with a daring insertion into Afghanistan on horseback. These same men were featured in the Hollywood Film “12 Strong” and the Documentary “Legion of Brothers” and are memorialized by the America’s Response Monument at Ground Zero.

Whiskey & War Stories. Learn about America’s resilient response to 9/11 from those who lived it! You will hear how the original horse soldiers, a group of special Armed Forces Veterans, who served our country through countless missions, then came together to make a great Bourbon Whiskey. Horse Soldier bottles are pressed from steel molds created from actual steel from the World Trade Center

Join us for an evening of Courage and Bourbon while enjoying a Bourbon infused four course dining experience as well as cocktails and tastings of the Horse Soldier Bourbons. Hear from Mike Cucci a Regional Brand Specialist from Horse Soldier who will share stories of the first response team into Afghanistan after 9/11. Discover the historic legacy of the Horse Soldiers elite Green Berets Thursday, November 14th 6pm.

Holiday Yeast Breads at Prescott Farms

The flavors of the holidays shine in seasonal sweetbreads. Join us in our teaching kitchen as we learn about baking yeast-raised sweetbreads and create a traditional holiday loaf of your own to take home and finish in your own oven.

Felted Soap at Prescott Farms

Join us as we encase bars of soap with decorative felted wool packages that you can keep for yourself or give as gifts. The felted wool conserves the soap and makes a nice lather. In this class participants will felt three to four bars of soap brought from home using colorful wool to make their own designs. Note: This program does not include making the soap. Bring 3-4 bars of soap from home or bring your own homemade soap from a previous soapmaking class at Prescott Farm!

Earrings in a Day with Joy Raskin

Join us at the League of NH Craftsmen – Meredith Fine Craft Gallery on Saturday, November 16th, 2024 from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm for an Earrings in a Day Class with juried artist Joy Raskin.

Spend a day making your own fabulous earrings!  Using wire, students will make French ear wires, dangles, hoops, and much more. Making earrings can be easily done using a few hand tools and a little imagination. Wire, and some sheet metal, plus beads will all be used.   Silver-plated, sterling silver, gold-filled, and copper wire will be used. $25 materials fee, payable to instructor.

Tuition is $75.00 per student. Materials fee is $25. The materials fee will be paid cash or check to the instructor on the day of class.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Those who wish to take the class MUST sign up by Thursday, November 14th.
