Jams and jellies are a great way to preserve the flavor of summer. Learn the essentials to make delicious jams and jellies including fruit selection, equipment, and canning methods while making a jam and fruit butter to bring home.

Columbus Day Weekend | Saturday, October 12 and Sunday October 13th | 9am-5pm Daily

• Projects feature newly constructed, renovated homes representing premier Lakes Region Builders & Remodelers
• Projects are scattered throughout the Lakes Region - pick and choose which homes to visit or tour all of the homes. Whether you want ideas for your current home, are looking for your next home or just appreciate quality craftsmanship, the Parade has something for everyone.
• Tour each home at your leisure, meet the builders and learn about their companies and their unique projects
• Tickets can be purchased online, via the Parade App or at the first home visited. A ticket is required to enter the homes and cost $25/per person.
• One ticket is good for all homes, all weekend.
• Visitors can VOTE for their favorite project and help select the "People's Choice Winner"
• All ticket purchasers will be entered into a drawing for Give Away & Prizes

Fused Glass Fall Scene

Art Escape Laconia NH | Saturday October 12th | 5PM

Are you looking for something unique and creative to do this fall? Look no further! Art Escape is hosting an interactive fused glass workshop that is sure to be lots of fun. Create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind " fused glass piece that you can proudly display in your home or give as a special gift. Our knowledgeable instructor will guide you step-by-step through the process of crafting your own beach themed project. No experience is necessary. Your final artwork will dazzle the eye and brighten any fall day.

$37 Includes 6" glass project and loop for hanging. Stands are sold separate.

Projects will be fired and ready for pick next week on Friday.

BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) including adult beverages for those 21 years or older (ID required). Beverages must be covered to ensure safety during glass cutting and crafting.

Food: Please note that fused glass classes are beverage-only. As we will be cutting glass during the workshop, it's essential to maintain a safe environment without the risk of glass contamination in food.

Safety Note: For your safety during our fused glass workshop, safety glasses are required. We provide safety glasses for your convenience, or you may bring your own. If you choose to bring your own safety glasses, please note that they must be approved by the instructor to ensure they meet safety standards.

2024 Lake Winnipesaukee Cleanup

Join us for the 2024 Lake Winnipesaukee Cleanup on Saturday, October 12, 2024! Each year, tons of litter find their way into our water bodies, harming wildlife and affecting water quality. This is your chance to give back to the lake that offers so much to our community.

In 2023, volunteers managed to remove a staggering amount of trash, including large items like old tires and even a toilet from a beach! With your help, we can do even more this year. This cleanup is not just about picking up trash – it’s about preserving the natural beauty of Lake Winnipesaukee and ensuring it remains a clean and enjoyable place for generations to come. By volunteering, you’re making a direct impact on the health of the lake.

Event Schedule

9:00 am: Meet your Team Lead at your chosen location to sign in, fill out the waiver, and pick up your supply bag and t-shirt. We'll provide you with water, snacks, trash bags, and gloves to help you get started.

9:15 am to 11:30 am: Volunteers will spread out across designated public access sites to collect trash. In addition to these locations, participants are also encouraged to clean up any other areas around the lake where they have access. Drop points for full trash bags will be announced closer to the event.

12:00 pm to 2:00 pm: After the hard work is done, join us at Ames Farm Inn (2800 Lake Shore Road, Gilford) for an after-party! Enjoy free food, meet some new people, maybe win one of the great raffle prizes.

Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate. Whether you’re a local resident, a frequent visitor, or simply someone who cares about our lake, your help is crucial to keeping Lake Winnipesaukee clean.
