Ice Castles- North Woodstock

Magic abounds in our Winter Fairy Village. Along this short loop near the Mystic Forest Light Walk, you’ll be immersed in a fairy tale world where winter fairies live and play

Sleigh Rides

Add on a sleigh ride to your Ice Castles visit. Our winter sleigh rides take you through an illuminated wooded trail before dropping you back off at the castle.

Immerse yourself into the winter season with the first annual Lights on Squam, a seasonal light installation at Wolfsburg Farm! Prepare to be dazzled by five unique lighting experiences, expertly curated by New Spectrum Lighting, designed to bring joy and awe to all ages. This is a self-guided tour down a wooded trail with gentle slopes on a wood chip path. Please wear appropriate outdoor attire and footwear to match the winter elements. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times and picked up after.

There will be a fire pit with light refreshments and warm beverages available for purchase.

**Please note this trail is not ADA accessible, and therefore not suitable for wheelchairs or walkers. Strollers are permitted, at your own risk. Children under the age of 3 are free. Please note: this is a winter trail in the woods. Seniors are welcome, but should strongly consider their walking capabilities down potentially icy and snow-covered terrain.

Winter Lunch at the Castle

Join us for Winter Lunch at Castle in the Clouds! Winter Lunch at the Castle is back and offers the perfect blend of delicious food, rustic ambiance, and winter fun to create unforgettable dining experience in the heart of the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

Make it a Day at the Castle!
Elevate your winter outing by turning it into a day of exploration and enjoyment. Plan a hike, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing on the picturesque Lakes Region Conservation Trust trails, before or after heading over to the Carriage House Restaurant to enjoy the delights of Winter Lunch at the Castle.

Embrace the Season with Winter Lunch at the Castle
Winter Lunch at the Castle is $35 per person (Adult) and $15 (12 & Under ordering from Children’s Menu) and includes your choice of starter, entrée, nonalcoholic beverage as well as tax and gratuity. Full bar and dessert options are available for purchase.

Castle in the Clouds requires online reservations to be made by midnight of the preceding Thursday. You’ll be presented with the current prix fixe menu upon arrival at the Carriage House Restaurant.

All sales are final. There are no refunds, transfers to other dates, or exchanges after reservations are purchased.

Full Moon Snowshoe Hike

Tuesday January 14th | 5PM - 6:30-PM |Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center 928 White Oaks Road Laconia, NH 03246

Explore Prescott Farm in a different and special way. Inspired by the weather and the dynamic calendar of the natural world, topics discussed on our moonlit walk will vary but may include: identifying constellations, habits of nocturnal animals, and testing your own night vision abilities.

Snowshoes available (no extra charge) to borrow or guests may bring their own.

Recommended Ages: Adults
Physical Demand [4] = Activity includes around 1 mile of walking on trails with uneven terrain and hills

Wilderness Survival 101 Winter Class

NHOLC is happy to announce our Wilderness Survival 101 Winter class! In addition to fire, shelter, site selection, water purification, clothing & essential gear, we will also include snow shoeing, sled hauling and open fire cooking methods for the January 18, 2025 class.
